Building Dashboards on Airbook

Creating dashboards on Airbook allows you to quickly visualize your insights and data, enabling efficient collaboration. Follow the steps below to build and customize a dynamic, collaborative dashboard. Check out the explainer from Hoshang below for a quick demo and read on for more details.

Start from Your Notebook

Begin by navigating to the notebook where you’ve already conducted your analysis. Ensure it includes key elements such as:

  • Insights

  • Context

  • Tables

  • Charts

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

These components will form the foundation for your dashboard.

Navigate to the Dashboard Tab

To begin building your dashboard, click on the Dashboard tab located at the top of your screen. This tab provides access to all the tools and components you'll need to create and manage your dashboard.

Edit and Customize Your Dashboard

Customization

Once you're in the dashboard interface, click on the Edit button in the top-right corner of the screen. This will enable editing mode, allowing you to modify the dashboard layout and content as needed.

Component Selection

From the edit tray, you can select from a variety of elements to add to your dashboard. These include:

  • Numbers: Display key figures and metrics

  • Charts: Visualize your data trends

  • Metrics: Showcase specific performance metrics

  • Rich Text: Provide context or additional explanations

Choose the elements that best represent the data and insights you want to highlight.

To add a component to your dashboard, select the specific item—such as a table or chart—and click the Add button. This will place the selected component onto your dashboard, where you can move, resize, and customize it as needed.

Collaborate and Share

Once your dashboard is set up, share it with your team members. You can grant them permission to either view or edit the dashboard.

Scheduling

For ongoing, up-to-date insights, schedule your dashboard to update automatically. You can set the dashboard to refresh on a regular basis, such as:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

For example, you might schedule updates every Monday to ensure the data is always fresh and relevant.

Now that you're done building Dashboards, move on to turn your insights into action by creating workflows!
